The videos you make are yours. Kinecard claims no ownership of your footage, your images, your narration, or the videos you export. Sell them, post them, monetise them — we have no say in it and take no cut.
What Kinecard is
A video editor that runs in your browser. You supply narration, images and clips; it produces a captioned video with motion-graphic cards. All processing happens on your own machine.
Free and Pro
- Free — 720p export, a Kinecard badge in the corner, and eleven motion cards available in all three themes.
- Pro — higher resolutions, no badge, and every card. Billed monthly. Cancel any time and it stays active until the period you have already paid for runs out.
Pro is a subscription, not a purchase. If it lapses, the Pro cards stop being available for export — projects that use them keep their settings, but you will need Pro again to export those sections as they are.
Points
You can earn points towards free Pro time: one a day for finishing a video, and ten when someone who arrived through your referral link subscribes, paid to both of you.
- Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or refunded.
- Points earned before you make an account are held against your browser and are lost if you clear your cookies.
- Referral points arrive only when a referred person actually subscribes.
- We may adjust or remove points obtained through automated means, duplicate accounts, or anything designed to manufacture referrals rather than bring people who want the product.
- We may change the earning rates. Points you have already earned keep the value they had when you earned them.
Refunds
If Kinecard does not do what this page says it does, email us within 14 days of being charged and we will refund that payment. We would rather give the money back than argue about it.
What you agree not to do
- Resell or redistribute the card designs themselves as a template or asset pack. Videos you make with them are unrestricted; the cards are not.
- Circumvent the paid tier, or share a means of doing so.
- Use Kinecard to produce material that is illegal where you are, or that depicts real people saying things they did not say in order to deceive.
Things we cannot promise
Kinecard runs in your browser, so what it can do depends on your machine. Rendering speed, whether your files decode, and whether transcription works are all affected by your hardware and browser. We cannot guarantee it will work on every device.
Your projects are stored in your browser. Clearing site data deletes them. Use Save to write a project file you keep yourself — that is the only copy we cannot lose for you, because we never had one.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost income, or damages arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by agreement.
Ending it
You can stop using Kinecard and delete your account whenever you like. We may close an account that is being used to attack the service or defraud the points scheme, and will refund any unused paid time if we do.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects what you get or what you pay, the date at the top changes and we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
